The PTRD-41 was in service with the Red Army at the commencement of Barbarrosa in 1941. Firing the 14.5mm round at a muzzle velocity of between 3320 and 3655fps enabled 35-40mm of armour penetration, this was sufficient to defeat the side armour of all German tanks and SPG's of that time. It had a effective range of 300m.
Bullet is tight in the case. Near mint condition with unstruck (oiled) primer.

Ask Poster a Question
Many thanks.....greatly appreciated.
I'm interested in this example. My only question is in regard to the authenticity of the projectile. Are you able to say, or guarantee, that everything is authentic?
Is the cartridge from a known collection?
Apologies for asking such a question, but, it's a higher priced item.
No need to apologise, I fully understand your concern as to the veracity of the round. The round was bought from a dealer in Moscow whom I have bought several items off previously. It was delivered with the bullet pulled, I put a small nut in the case and reunited them. I can say that the case was very tight and clearly not fired as the projectile took some persuading to tease it back in.
I cannot however guarantee it 100%.
Hope this helps you.
