Standing about 65cm tall, offered for sale here is an Armour Piercing Tracer round for the British 77mm Tank Gun, as used in the Comet Tank. Brass case measures 76.2x420R and has the following headstamps '77MM I LOT34 ECC CF 1948'. The AP/T projectile is in virtually 'mint' condition with white stencilled marking 'FVRDE 2/88/385' and stamped markings 'AP 17PDR & 77MM VI T FVRDE 2/88/285 PAT LOT 1 10/57 M1117 FS' with '1946' stamped between the double copper driving bands. Single, centrally drilled tracer pocket is empty. Case has a couple of small dents on one side which could be knocked out (see second and fourth images above), otherwise this is a very nice round with a projectile that I would classify as virtually mint condition.
Condition as per images above. Heavy! Courier to mainland UK postcode will be £25.00.
