this is a very rare case for the powerful Vickers .5 V690 high velocity incendiary round. Developed as a private venture by Vickers in the early 30s, it was offered to, but rejected by, Great Britain. Export sales also failed to find many buyers, 48 guns going to Japan, 24 to Siam & 20 to China.
The headstamp reads 'B K34 B .5V.690'. The last photo shows it with a .5 Browning bullet which in the absence of the real thing looks the business. The Browning bullet is a little shorter than the original. The bullet is not included in this auction.
UK sales only - overseas bidders are welcome providing they have a UK address to send it to and can pay by paypal.
