Inert brass cased 2cm Flak38 AP-Incendiary (phosphorus) or AP-HE round. Case headstamps read 'P490 9d 39' with a struck percussion primer and is correct for this projectile type in that the crimp ring on the case match the cannelure on the projectile. The projectile is marked 'eel 253 /44' just in front of the unfired FES band. The projectile is empty and is the hollow armour piercing type which was either filled with a container of phosphorus and closed with an aluminium base plug to make an API (Ph) projectile or filled with explosive and closed with an aluminium BdZ1513 base fuse to make an APHE projectile. Round is in nice condition but does have a dent to shoulder as seen in the second image.
Condition as per images above. Second Class Small Parcel postage to a mainland UK postcode will be £3.50 or collect for free at The War and Peace Revival Show, Paddock Wood, 24-28 July.
