INERT/FFE 1943 2.8cm (28x187R) sPzB41 APCR round
Tungsten cored APCR round for the taper bore schwere PanzerBuschse 41. Produced between 1940-43, it employed the Gerlich "squeeze bore" principal to generate huge muzzle velocity by reducing the barrel bore from 28mm at the breach to 20mm at the muzzle, this gave it a muzzle velocity of around 4500 fps. Armour penetration was around 75mm @ 100m. The lightweight sPzB leFl (auf Leichter Feldlaffette) 41 version was developed for use by the Fallschirmjager
Pristine condition, no dings or marks anywhere and the headstamp is mint. The Projectile has remained in its case since it was produced in 1943, propellent removed through primer port. Similar round on sale @ JC Militaria.
